Landlord Information

Northwest Oregon Housing Authority is happy to announce some upcoming landlord outreach events. This is an excellent opportunity to learn about the Section 8 program and for us to share important information.

We will be hosting multiple 90-minute virtual sessions using Microsoft Teams:

  • Tuesday April 28, 2026 at 10:00am HCV Landlords 101: A high-level overview of the HCV Program and basic landlord requirements and processes
  • Tuesday April 28, 2026 at 1:00pm Town Hall for Established HCV Landlords: An opportunity for open discussion with other landlords along with some key topics
  • Thursday April 30, 2026 at 10:00am Town Hall for Established HCV Landlords
  • Thursday April 30, 2026 at 1:00pm HCV Landlords 101
  • Tuesday May 12, 2026 at 10:00am HCV Landlords 101
  • Tuesday May 12, 2026 at 1:00pm Town Hall for Established HCV Landlords
  • Thursday May 14, 2026 at 10:00am Town Hall for Established HCV Landlords

We have three sessions scheduled:

  • Wednesday April 30, 2025 at 10:00 am at the Tillamook Public Library 1716 3rd St Tillamook, OR 97141
  • Thursday May 1, 2025 at 10:00 am at Broadleaf Arbor 2250 Gable Rd (Bldg. A Meeting Space) St. Helens, OR 97051

Effective December 27, 2022, HUD will require federally assisted units have carbon monoxide alarms or detectors properly installed. Landlords - If your HCV-assisted units do not already have a CO2 alarm or detector installed, please make preparations to do so to be in compliance with this new requirement. HUD now requires all smoke detectors to meet NFPA 72 standards; detectors must have a sealed 10yr battery or be hard wired.
